Re-Centering Medical Use in Cannabis with Dr. Rachel Knox and Dasheeda Dawson

Dr. Rachel Knox and Dasheeda Dawson are the founders of  the  Cannabis Health Equity Movement (CHEM).  Dr. Knox is a certified Cannabinoid Medicine specialist who received her medical and business degrees from Tufts University after completing her undergraduate studies at Duke. She trained in Family and Integrative Medicine before pursuing additional study in the areas of Functional Medicine, Cannabinoid Medicine, and Endocannabinology. 

Dasheeda Dawson is The WeedHead™, a global cannabis advocate, award-winning strategist and bestselling author of How to Succeed in the Cannabis Industry. She has 20 years of business development and strategic management excellence while leading teams for United Way, Target and Victoria’s Secret. Dasheeda is also the Portland Cannabis Manager overseeing all regulatory, licensing, compliance and equity initiatives for the city’s legal industry.

Together they are a force to be reckoned with in the cannabis industry and on today’s show learn how they met, why cannabis is a vehicle for health equity and what makes their families so canna special.
