From Felon to Budtender Finalist & Cannabis Advocate: Emily Rios Interview

Emily Rios reached out to The Canna Mom Show on Instagram and we are so glad she did. Emily is a mom of two and is currently one of the top 5 finalists for the Budtender Award 2019 Ambassador category. She is about to start the first and only chapter of the 420 Nurses in her state of Oregon and is one of the planners for the National Budtenders Campout - scheduled for June 2020.

Emily is also a former exotic dancer who served six-years in prison. She has a most colorful story but has found grace in her journey. Joyce and Emily discuss the challenges women face gaining access to employment following an incarceration and how the cannabis industry changed her life trajectory. Emily is passionate and persistent and she's sharing her story in hopes of inspiring and helping women like her find the strength to push back against negative narratives and emerge as players in the cannabis industry.
