Yesenia Garcia on Cultivating Mississippi Cannabis
Yesenia Garcia is the Chief Marketing Officer at Southern Crop - the first licensed medical cultivator Mississippi. Yesenia joins their team with over fifteen-years of marketing experience including cannabis marketing experience in her home state of Florida. She speaks with Joyce about her experience transitioning from working with Native American organizations to cannabis, what’s going on in Mississippi cannabis, and why it’s great to be a canna mom.
On this week’s TCMS Culture Corner – Joyce lifts up her congresswoman, Ayanna Pressley, who has been the U.S representative for Massachusetts’s 7th congressional district since 2019. If you don’t know Ayanna Pressley’s story you can listen to this great interview on WBUR with Tiziana Dearingwhere Congresswoman Pressley talks about how her mom was so important for her becoming the trail blazer she is, the struggles and joys of Boston politics, and about breaking the concrete ceilings in politics – right here in Massachusetts.
Joyce also gives an update on her plants and reminds you that if you would like to learn how to grow your own, check- out Aja Atwood’s on-line course.
